First Readings Lecture with author Charles Rappleye

Sons of Providence author Charles Rappleye will discuss what he learned while writing the book, how it changed his thinking about Brown and early New England, and what it means to be an American, then and now.

This past summer, incoming first-year and transfer students read Sons of Providence as part of the First Readings program. Rappleye is an award-winning investigative journalist and editor who has written extensively on media law enforcement, and organized crime. This event begins at 5 p.m. in the Salomon Center for Teaching, Room 101, Main Green.
